- Mechanism record
- Tesamorelin is a synthetic GHRH(1-44) analogue with a trans-3-hexenoic acid modification at the N-terminus. It binds GHRH receptors on pituitary somatotrophs, stimulating endogenous GH secretion via cAMP/PKA signaling while preserving physiological GH pulsatility. FDA-approved (Egrifta) for HIV-associated lipodystrophy. Peak GH levels at 15-45 minutes post-injection.
- Half-life record
- ~26 minutes (IV), ~38 minutes (SC)
Recorded receptors
- GHRH receptor (pituitary somatotrophs)
- cAMP/PKA signaling
- IGF-1 feedback axis

Limitations and research boundary
Research use only. Not for human or veterinary use. Public catalog information is limited to chemical identity, analytical documentation, and external reference records.
External records are attributed references. Their presence does not convert a source-reported observation into a product claim.
