Research runs on material you have to take on faith. The grey market knows it, and sells to it. The danger is not a vial that looks wrong. It is the one that looks perfect and is not, and takes your assay down with it before you ever suspect the reagent.

  • A vial that looks identical to the real thing, with a different molecule inside.
  • A Certificate of Analysis photocopied from another lot, or from nothing at all.
  • A deletion-variant sequence from incomplete synthesis, sold as the full one.
  • No chromatogram, no method, no lab named. Just a number on a label.
  • Held warm, with no stated storage condition.

How we hold the line

  • Characterized: Purity by HPLC, identity by mass spec. A lot is not released until its panel is recorded.
  • Documented: Each released lot carries a Certificate of Analysis available through the verifier.
  • Verifiable: Scan the vial’s tamper-evident QR, or enter the lot number and vial code. The verifier never says whether a code exists, so a fake cannot be worked back into a real one.
