Mechanism record
BPC-157 (Body Protection Chemical sequence-157) is a 15-amino-acid synthetic chemical sequence derived from human gastric juice protein BPC. It activates VEGFR2-mediated angiogenesis, modulates the NO system (eNOS upregulation), promotes FAK-paxillin pathway activation for cell migration, and provides cytoprotection via dopamine D1 receptor stabilization. Uniquely stable in gastric acid, a defining characteristic enabling oral administration.
