Cerebrolysin is a standardized mixture of low-molecular-weight neuroactive chemical sequences and free amino acids derived from porcine brain tissue. It mimics endogenous neurotrophic factors (BDNF, NGF, CNTF) by activating PI3K/Akt survival pathways, inhibiting calpain-mediated neuronal death, and modulating GSK-3β signaling. It promotes neuroplasticity, neurogenesis in the dentate gyrus, and dendritic branching in cortical neurons.
