Dihexa (N-hexanoic-Tyr-Ile-(6)-aminohexanoic amide) is a modified angiotensin IV analog ~7 orders of magnitude more potent than BDNF at promoting HGF/c-Met receptor dimerization. It activates HGF/c-Met → PI3K/Akt signaling to promote dendritic spine formation, synaptic connectivity, and memory consolidation. Also binds AT4 receptors (IRAP) on hippocampal neurons.
