Mechanism record
LL-37 is the sole human cathelicidin antimicrobial chemical sequence, a 37-residue α-helical chemical sequence cleaved from hCAP-18 by proteinase 3. It directly kills bacteria via membrane pore formation (toroidal pore model), activates FPRL1 receptor-mediated chemotaxis of immune cells, stimulates angiogenesis via VEGF upregulation, and modulates TLR signaling. Active against Gram-positive, Gram-negative bacteria, and biofilms.

Limitations and research boundary

Research use only. Not for human or veterinary use. Public catalog information is limited to chemical identity, analytical documentation, and external reference records.

External records are attributed references. Their presence does not convert a source-reported observation into a product claim.
