Freely soluble in water and aqueous buffers. Reconstitute in sterile water or bacteriostatic water to 1-5 mg/mL. Stable at neutral pH.
Mechanism record
Thymosin Beta-4 is the principal intracellular G-actin sequestering protein (43 amino acids). Full mechanism includes G-actin binding via the LKKTETQ motif, PINCH-1/ILK/α-parvin complex activation for cardioprotection, Ac-SDKP anti-fibrotic activity (N-terminal cleavage product), HIF-1α stabilization for angiogenesis, and epicardial progenitor cell differentiation. Distinguished from its fragment TB-500 by engaging the FULL receptor profile including PINCH-1/ILK cardioprotection.
Half-life record
~2-3 hours (plasma clearance)

Recorded receptors

  • G-actin LKKTETQ (shared with TB-500)
  • PINCH-1/ILK/α-parvin (cardioprotective. NOT in TB-500)
  • Ac-SDKP anti-fibrotic
  • HIF-1α angiogenesis
  • epicardial progenitor differentiation
